Location: Napa valley is located in the north of San Francisco, about an hour drive from this beautiful city. This valley is very small as compared to other valleys in the area as the total area of the valley is round 30 miles but it has more than 200 wineries.

Route: Napa valley is far from the main city, so there are two routes to get to this wine valley.

a)      Highway 29.

b)      Silverado trail.

Highway 29 is good to go and Silverado trail is good to come back.  Highway 29 is the direct route, if you are taking that; you will go directly to wine yards. This route is very crowded during the peak season. To avoid crowd, go either during the season or plan your visit for late spring or fall. Silverado Trail is less crowded, as it does not pass through all wine yards. So, if you have planned your trip in peak season, you can take that rout to avoid crowd. Bikes are another option, which you can get on rent easily and enjoy this wine valley. Moreover, you can visit the Napa on a train; this is three hour journey on a wine train, where you will enjoy the mean and wine tastings as well.

Advantages: Wineries are the spatiality of Napa, but it is famous for the restaurants too. Except beautiful wine yards, this place offers a lot of other activities for the visitors, like you can play golf here, spend a lavish day at spa, and enjoy the ride in hot balloon over the valley.
